Dinas Kebudayaan Kota Denpasar mengeluarkan keputusan terbaru terkait dengan parade atau pawai Ogoh-ogoh terkait Nyepi tahun ini. Jika tahun sebelumnya lima Ogoh-ogoh terbaik dibawa dan diarak di Catus Pata ‘Catur Muka’, kawasan Lapangan Puputan Badung, Denpasar, untuk tahun ini pemenang setiap kecamatan hanya diarak di kecamatannya masing-masing.

Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan Kota Denpasar, Made Mudra didampingi Kabid Adat Istiadat Made Wedana, Selasa (18/2). Menurutnya, hal ini berbeda dengan model dari tahun-tahun sebelumnya, yakni lima pemenang terbaik di setiap kecamatan akan dibawa ke pusat kota untuk ikut parade bersama di kawasan Catus Pata ‘Catur Muka’. Terkait dengan model parade Ogoh-ogoh yang beda dibanding tahun sebelumnya ini, dilakukan salah satunya untuk menjaga kondusifitas jelang pemilihan legislatif (Pileg) pada 9 April 2014. Terlebih saat Hari Raya Nyepi yang jatuh pada 31 Maret sudah memasuki hari tenang jelang Pemilu.

Untuk bentuk Ogoh-ogoh, kata dia, jenis maupun bentuk masih sama seperti dulu harus menyerupai bhutakala dan tidak diperkenankan dalam wujud yang lain apalagi ada nuansa politisnya. Jika nanti ditemukan ada Ogoh-ogoh yang bernuansa politis, maka tim yang terdiri dari pecalang, unsur TNI, Polri dan SKPD terkait berhak mengambil tindakan tegas. Hal ini dilakukan untuk menjaga kebersamaan dan persatuan jelang hari Nyepi dan dalam rangka menyambut tahun baru saka 1936.
